Moore & Van Allen PLLC is pleased to announce that Member Luis Lluberas has been recognized as a recipient of the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2018 “40 Under 40” Award. This award recognizes 40 local professionals under the age of 40 who are making major strides in their careers and having a positive impact on the local community.

Lluberas is part of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring team. His legal practice encompasses a broad range of financial services matters, with a focus on the resolution of troubled credits. He is also valuable asset to the firm’s internal operations as a member of the firm’s Diversity Committee and the chair of the firm’s Lawyers of Color affinity group.

In addition to his law practice, Lluberas is a board member of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Carolinas Chapter. In this role, he leads fundraising efforts for the annual Take Steps Walk fundraiser in Charlotte. Lluberas is also very involved with the firm’s pro bono projects. He currently leads a team of attorneys who provide Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, Inc. with pro bono legal advice to assist with the resolution of troubled loans.

The Charlotte Business Journal recognized Lluberas and the other winners at its 25th annual 40 Under 40 Awards event on Thursday, May 31 at the historic McGlohon Theater in uptown Charlotte. He was also featured in the CBJ 40 Under 40 Special Report on June 1.
