NCVMA Presents $5,000 High Five Grant To Pamlico Animal Welfare Society For Fourth Consecutive Year

Oriental, N.C., March. 9, 2015 – The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA) has announced that it has awarded one of its five High Five grants to the Pamlico Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) in Oriental, North Carolina, for a fourth consecutive year. Pamlico Animal Welfare Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the neglect, abandonment and euthanasia of homeless pets. The High Five Grant will assist Pamlico Animal Welfare Society in spaying and neutering hundreds of pets in order to decrease the use of euthanasia in local shelters and to increase the quality of life for these animals.

The High Five Grant Program was established to assist qualified organizations that promote community service as well as compassion and health for the people and animals of North Carolina. NCVMA will award $5,000 to PAWS in 2015, and the organization will have the opportunity to reapply for the grant in 2016.
