Stuart Ottinger, franchisee and president of Double R Restaurant Group, has announced plans to open Another Broken Egg Cafe (ABEC) this fall at 1111 Parkside Main Street in Cary’s Parkside Town Commons shopping center. This new, 3,600-square-foot location marks the fourth ABEC restaurant in the Triangle, in addition to current locations in Durham, Morrisville and Raleigh. The space will feature ample indoor and outdoor seating for up to 158 people, including an open-air, dog-friendly patio with its own bar service and a private dining room available for special events and meetings.

Open daily from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. exclusively for breakfast, brunch and lunch service, ABEC offers an upscale, southern-inspired menu. Guests can choose from more than 114 creative recipes loaded with fresh ingredients, ranging from breakfast classics, to memorable brunch dishes, to lunchtime favorites. Highlights from the award-winning menu include gourmet omelettes, six selections of Eggs Benedict, handmade biscuit beignets, monster cinnamon rolls, handcrafted burgers and sandwiches, full cocktail list and much more. In addition, the menu is created to please all guests, with a wide variety of vegetarian, gluten-free and healthy alternatives.

Established in 1996, the first ABEC location in Raleigh opened in 2012. In January 2013, Entrepreneur Magazine named ABEC on of the “Top 500 Franchise Businesses in America,” and the company has continued to grow ever since. To date, there are 54 cafes across the county, with plans to open 100 additional locations by the end of 2018 – including more in the Triangle.
