New Hope Valley Railway (NHVR), The Triangle’s Train, announces its schedule for the 2015 season beginning in April through December. The all-volunteer, tourist railroad is located in Bonsal, N.C., 30 minutes south of downtown Raleigh off of U.S. 1, Exit 89.

The new season begins on Sunday, April 12, in conjunction with the North Carolina Science Festival and concludes with Holiday Santa train rides on Dec. 5, 6, 12 and 13.

During operating months, the railroad is open for general ride days on the second Sunday and group ride days on the fourth Friday. Themed, special event ride days are held the last Saturday of the month. Special events for this year include Brew ‘n Choo beer & wine nights, Civil War Reenactments and a Murder Mystery. Each will include activities in the rail yard, train rides and food trucks.

“As the Triangle’s Train, NHVR brings a unique experience to visitors of our rail yard – families with young children, craft beer lovers, and those interested in trains and history,” says NHVR President Chris Tilley. “With the addition of many new special event ride days, we have something for everyone who wants a different kind of weekend adventure.”

Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets online at www.TriangleTrain.com. Any unsold tickets will be available at the train yard ticket booth the day of the ride.
