Technology provider receives Corporate Supply Chain of the year award at 8th Annual Supply Chain Management Summit

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – September 10th, 2015. Optricity was recently awarded Corporate Supply Chain of the Year at the Supply Chain Management Summit (SCMS) hosted at Bryant University in Providence, Rhode Island. This award recognizes a corporation’s positive impact to its customers within supply chain and logistics.

The Annual SCMS is an event designed to encourage in-depth discussion about the most relevant supply chain challenges and solutions. This year’s Summit included educational and informative keynote addresses from Eugene Campbell of The Walt Disney Company, Lois Kelly of Foghound and Richard Armstrong of Armstrong and Associates. Break-out sessions included topics such as slotting optimization, distribution center design, packaging, security, risks and improving supply chain performance. In addition to educational programming, the SCMS also presents awards to individuals and companies within three different categories: Supply Chain/Logistics Leader of the Year, Emerging Young Professional Leader Award, and Corporate Supply Chain of the Year Award.

Each year the SCMS Committee reviews nominations for the award categories. The Corporate Supply Chain of the Year Award is presented to an organization that has used innovative supply chain management and logistics practices to advance its business and deliver a positive impact to its customers.
