RelyMD’s Dr. Bobby Park, co-founder and director of virtual health at RelyMD, will give a presentation at the LeadingAge North Carolina Conference. Dr. Park will specifically discuss driving a financial impact through the use of telemedicine in nursing homes and continuing care retirement communities.

The conference, entitled Life on Purpose, will take place May 14-17 at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville.

“Treating in place versus initiating a hospital transfer has drastic financial implications on nursing homes and continuing care retirement communities,” said Dr. Park. “Now telemedicine can help to decrease those transfers when physicians aren’t on site, like overnight or during the weekends. The end result is a positive impact on a facility’s bottom line while improving quality and access to care for residents.”
