For every four meals purchased, Rocky Top will donate four meals to families in need
2020 has been a difficult year for many, but Rocky Top Catering still believes that Thanksgiving is a time to spend together and cherish family and friends. To make meal planning easier this year, the full-service catering company will be offering delicious, chef-prepared Thanksgiving feasts for dine-in, takeout or delivery from its 1705 East event venue located at 1705 East Millbrook Road in Raleigh.
Additionally, Rocky Top owner Dean Ogan has pledged that for every four meals sold, they will provide four Thanksgiving meals to families in need who have children in Wake County Public Schools. This program is an extension of the charitable work Rocky Top has been doing all summer in partnership with Overflowing Hands. Earlier this year, the Triangle Business Journal recognized Ogan with a Corporate Philanthropy Award, and Rocky Top Catering was recognized as one of the largest corporate philanthropists in the area.
Thanksgiving offerings will include several options:
• Family-Style Dining from noon to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. Diners will enjoy a delicious family-style feast including all-you-can-eat hand-carved oven-roasted turkey, brown-sugar-glazed ham, 12-hour house-smoked beef brisket, house-made sides, and desserts, all served family style at socially distanced tables. All dining room staff and setup will adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines. Guests will be required to wear masks to and from their table. The full menu can be viewed at https://bit.ly/2SrlyHr.
The cost is $45 for adults, $20 for kids 5-10, and free for children under 5. A 20% service charge and alcohol are priced separately. Reservations are required, and parties will be limited to 4-10.
• Ready-to-Serve Pickup or Delivery on Thanksgiving Day. For those who prefer to celebrate at home, Rocky Top will have hot, ready-to-serve meal packages available for curbside pickup at 1705 East or delivered to their door. The hearty packages feed four and include turkey, ham, brisket, salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, roasted root vegetables, cranberry sauce, dressing, gravy, muffins, biscuits, cookies and a pie.
The cost is $150 (feeds four). 20% service charge and delivery fees not included. Orders must be placed by November 20.
• Take & Bake Pickup on Wednesday, November 25. Rocky Top is also offering a take-and-bake option, complete with reheating instructions, for those who prefer to pick up their meal the day before Thanksgiving. The take-and-bake package includes the same food items as the hot, ready-to-serve package. Pickup will take place at 5000 Departure Drive in Raleigh.
The cost is $150 (feeds four), plus a 20% service charge. Orders must be placed by November 20.
