Grubb & Ellis|Thomas Linderman Graham, a leading Triangle real estate services firm, announced today that Shane Bull, real estate advisor, recently brokered a 2,795-square-foot space for Fifi’s Fine Resale Apparel. Bull represented Fifi’s owner, Lauren Calderazzo in the transaction, and Lynne Worth of York Properties represented the landlord.

Calderazzo has been in retail for 15 years. She started her career in sales and moved up through various different management positions—having worked in everything from sales/management in high-end boutiques to corporate retail overseeing 20+ stores at times. “I love retail and always have ever since my first job at 17 at a little clothing boutique on the beach,” says Calderazzo.

This is Calderazzo’s second franchise store in the Triangle area, with the first located in Durham. There are currently 19 Fifi’s boutiques throughout North Carolina and Florida, and Bull says that the newest Raleigh store definitely fills a consumer need.

“Affordable, upscale women’s apparel on consignment is an untapped market in Cameron Village, and Fifi’s will certainly fill that niche,” says Bull. “Lauren has many years of retail experience, and it’s her keen eye for retail that has attributed to the current popularity and success of her Durham store. Building on that, she decided to launch a second store in Raleigh.”

Bull said that Calderazzo worked hard to ensure that the boutique in Cameron Village had a similar look and feel to the existing store in Durham. He said that the main concern with locating in Cameron Village was the size of the space. “We worked directly with the landlord’s broker to negotiate a deal which was affordable for Fifi’s in order to help Lauren stay within her budget,” adds Bull.

Fifi’s Fine Resale Apparel has been in the consignment business for over 20 years and specializes in the resale of designer and name brand apparel for women. The Durham location offers designer brands like Cole Haan, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Trina Turk, St. John, Tahari, True Religion, 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, Nanette Lepore, Ralph Lauren, Coach, Banana Republic, and Kate Spade. Calderazzo received Bull’s name through a mutual friend and said that working with Bull was an easy, comfortable experience and unlike other real estate experiences that she’s had.

“Other people that I have worked with simply had a phone conversation and met me at different locations,” explains Calderazzo. “Shane's first step was to meet me at my store to asses my needs for my growing business. He looked around, took notes, and asked questions. He found me exactly what I needed. Shane was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process, and our meetings were always where it was most convenient for me, at whatever time was best for me. He was never in a rush to get to the next client.”

Fifi’s of Cameron Village is located at 2028 Cameron Street in Raleigh. The store is currently scheduled to open in mid-June, but patrons can keep advised of store happenings and current events by visiting the store’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/FifisOfCameronVillage.
