Southern Women’s Show Dances into Its 35th Year with Celebrity Guest Val Chmerkovskiy, April 17-19

Thousands of Attendees Can Shop and Sample From Over 400 Retailers and Consumer Brands All Weekend Long

The Southern Women’s Show is celebrating 35 years with its biggest show yet at the N.C. State Fairgrounds, April 17-19. Throughout the weekend, thousands of Triangle women can experience the latest in spring fashion, healthy cooking, beauty tips, affordable home décor and more. For local dancers or Dancing With the Stars fans, long-time professional dancer and two-time winner, Val Chmerkovskiy, will grace the stage to answer audience questions and share experiences from one of America’s most popular television shows. Additionally, in recognition of 35 years of Show fun, the Triangle’s premier annual shopping event is hosting a birthday party at Cooking Stage each day for all to enjoy – complete with cake and party favors for guests!

For more than 19 seasons of Dancing With the Stars, Val has danced his way into the audiences’ hearts and brought his high energy competing with celebrities including Olympian Laurie Hernandez, actress Zendaya and racecar driver Danica Patrick. In addition to captivating viewers on the show, Val also owns nine dance studios around the U.S. to share his love of movement, rhythm and expression. Val will appear on the Fashion and Entertainment stage Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. to share about his latest in dance and life’s adventures. His biggest fans can also take advantage of the opportunity to have a private meet and greet experience through a special VIP ticket, only available online.

The jam-packed, three-day weekend includes entertainment and activities for women of all ages and interests to enjoy between shopping and food sampling. A brand new feature this year gives attendees an opportunity to capture fun memories with their favorite friends in the “Capture Your Happy” interactive photo experience with eight different photobooth spaces complete with various props, color palettes, borders and more during all three Show days.

For Triangle fashionistas, the Show brings more than more than 400 boutiques and retailers for three days of the best shopping. Artisan Alley showcases hand-crafted goods from artists across the East Coast, as well as unique Etsy sellers. Make up and skincare junkies will find their paradise in the Belk Beauty Pavilion, which brings top names in beauty, including Clinique, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Erno Laszlo, Borghese, Puif Fragrances, Coty Fragrances, L’Oreal Fragrances, Parlux Fragrances, Dior Fragrances, Elizabeth Arden Fragrances, Inter Parfums and Wacoal lingerie. In addition to browsing an impressive collection of beauty products and lingerie, guests can enjoy free makeovers, samples and get expert tips for make-up styling.

The 35th annual Southern Women’s Show truly has something for every Triangle woman! The Southern Women’s Show is open Friday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are available now for $10 (adults) and $6 (children) online. Tickets can be purchased for just $9 (adult) at participating Harris Teeter stores starting Wednesday, March 25. Tickets are $13 at the door. Children under the age of 6 can attend free of charge with a paying adult. Three-day VIP packages and special celebrity meet and greet packages will be available online closer to the Show. Parking at the N.C. State Fairgrounds off Trinity Road is free.
