Stewart Expands Marketing Team with New Management Hires

RALEIGH, N.C. – Stewart, an interdisciplinary design, engineering and planning firm, has named Cara Greening as its manager of external communications, and Denise Southerland as its manager of marketing and communications.

As manager of external communications, Greening will lead external brand awareness efforts, client development, teaming opportunities and business growth. Greening’s primary responsibilities in this role include identifying and developing business opportunities and strategic partnerships, building positive awareness for the firm, identifying important trends, analyzing the external environment and managing key external relationships.

As manager of marketing and communications, Southerland will work in conjunction with leadership to develop and implement tactics to promote Stewart’s expertise and experience in the industry. Southerland’s primary responsibilities in this role include supporting the creation and implementation of business development and practice growth plans, supporting employee engagement activities and internal communications, and developing and maintaining marketing materials that reflect the firm’s depth of experience and quality service.

Greening most recently served as business development director of Bridgepoint, a construction services company where she expanded the client and advocate base. Prior to this, Greening was business development and marketing director of Clancy & Theys, developing and implementing strategies to match potential clients and projects and forming and maintaining relationships within the community. Greening holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Loyola University Chicago.

Southerland most recently served as marketing director of Colliers International, a commercial real estate services firm where she led marketing and research efforts for the Raleigh-Durham area and eastern North Carolina. Southerland holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from North Carolina State University.
