As part of his continuing health series, John C. Pittman, MD, of the Carolina Center for Integrative Medicine (CCIM), will present “Longevity Medicine: The Art & Science of Aging Well” on Tuesday, August 9th from 7:00-8:00PM. This free presentation will be held at CCIM’s office at 4505 Fair Meadow Lane, Suite 111 in Raleigh and is sponsored by Slate Pharmaceuticals.

“As our population of aging adults has steadily increased, more and more adults are thinking beyond illness and expressing a desire to maintain youthful energy and vigor,” explains Dr. Pittman. “’Age management’, or longevity medicine, is aimed at modifying one's lifestyle and using biological therapies that can help slow and even reverse the aging process.”

Dr. Pittman says that by applying an integrative medical program, many symptoms related to hormone deficiencies can be reversed—with both men and women experiencing optimal health and vitality well into advanced age.

This 60-minute presentation will focus on hormonal issues encountered by men and women as they age, with special attention given to growth hormone support and sex hormone replacement, as well as targeted nutrition and other biologically-based strategies that can support better health in the later years. Seating for this presentation is limited and advanced registration is required in case of cancellation. To reserve your seat, register online at www.carolinacenter.com/seminar-calendar.html.
