Trailblazer Studios, one of the Southeast’s leading entertainment, production and post shops, announces the addition of three new members to its entertainment team. Michael Lucker has been named executive producer responsible for helping with content development. Clark McCarthy-Miller and Kristin Genszler, who have previously collaborated on several Trailblazer projects, are officially joining the production team.

Lucker, a writer, director and producer with years of experience creating film, television, animation and digital media, joins Trailblazer to help develop original content for new television series and branded entertainment. He will work alongside Brenna Eckerson who serves as director of Development.

Lucker’s successful screenwriting career includes penning more than 20 feature screenplays for studios such as Paramount, Disney, DreamWorks, Fox and Universal – including Spirit, which won the Academy Award in 2002 as best animated feature. His TV experience includes Animal Planet, Cartoon Network, Travel Channel, History, Discovery, NBC, TBS, TLC, DIY, MSNBC and A&E.

“We're excited to have Michael join the team as we continue to build on our current momentum,” said Jeff Lanter, Trailblazer Studios vice president of Original Programming. “He's a proven storyteller with a knack for finding interesting characters and unique worlds.”

Also joining the Trailblazer team are Clark McCarthy-Miller as a producer and Kristin Genszler as production manager.

Originally from Massachusetts, McCarthy-Miller has been a producer on such shows as Jon & Kate Plus 8 and Salvage Dawgs. His credits include shows on HGTV, TLC and Spike and commercials for the NFL, Pennsylvania Lottery and Giant supermarkets.

Genszler’s credits include working as the production coordinator on DIY’s Salvage Dawgs and an upcoming PBS series, as well as an extras casting assistant on A&E's Those Who Kill pilot, and production assistant on Dark Knight Rises.

In other staffing changes, Katye Rone, a familiar face at Trailblazer Studios, will transition from business development into the role of senior director of Original Programming and Development. Rone will be based in Chicago.
