Triangle BABCNC and Deloitte Present Session on Changing Landscape of International Taxation

Oct. 1 Networking and Educational Event at City Club Raleigh

The Triangle/Eastern N.C. Chapter of the British-American Business Council will host a networking and educational session on “The Changing Landscape of International Tax: A U.S. and U.K. Perspective” on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the City Club Raleigh, located at 150 Fayetteville Street, Suite 2800. The evening program will cover an overview of the driving forces behind the key international tax challenges facing businesses and the specific areas of focus in the short term, as well as an update on specific law challenges in the U.K. following the recent general election (including personal tax changes to “non-dom” rules), and an update on the U.S. tax legislative outlook for 2015 and beyond.

The evening will commence with registration and networking at 5:30 p.m., followed by the tax presentation at 6 p.m. from the following experts:

Chris Moore, Senior Tax Manager, Deloitte U.S.

Chris is a Senior Tax Manager in the international tax practice of Deloitte Tax LLP (U.S.) and has 12 years of experience with Deloitte in Raleigh. His areas of focus include federal tax, international tax, accounting for income taxes and consolidated tax returns. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and a member of the AICPA and NCACPA.

Greg Dalziel, Senior Tax Manager, Deloitte U.K.

Greg works out of Manchester, U.K., and specializes in U.K. corporate and international taxation. He has more than eight years’ experience with Deloitte. His primary focus is serving multinational groups on a range of U.K. and international corporate tax matters. Greg is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, being a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Stephen Nuttall, Tax Partner, Deloitte U.K.

Stephen also works out of Manchester and has more than 14 years of experience. He specializes in advising large U.K. and multinational groups on a wide range of tax issues, including U.K. and cross-border financing, tax risk management and tax rate management. He has extensive experience in M&A transactions, including a number of very large and complex transactions which Deloitte has advised on in recent years. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA).

Following the presentation, there will be time allotted for Q&A and a networking reception.
