The Tuxedo Cat Ball is SAFE Haven’s largest fundraising event each year and will take place on Friday, April 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Marbles Kids Museum in Downtown Raleigh. The theme of the evening is “A Family Reunion”, celebrating over 5,000 happy cats and their adopters, volunteers and supporters. Tickets are $65 per person or $130 per couple, $25 age 12 and under and are available at www.safehavenforcats.org or by calling (919) 872-1128. A complete listing of auction items as well as other details about SAFE Haven and the Ball may be viewed here as well.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that CAHEC has signed as our presenting sponsor. One of the nation’s leading nonprofit equity syndicators, CAHEC helps finance the development of attractive and affordable rental housing. Headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., CAHEC works with investors and developers in ten states and the District of Columbia to raise and invest capital in affordable housing, historic preservation, and mixed-use community revitalization projects.

CAHEC further motivates its staff and exemplifies its corporate principle of Social Responsibility by encouraging all employees to participate in community service activities throughout the year. In 2010, Jill Odom, CAHEC’s Vice President of Asset Management, was selected to receive an Employee Recognition award for her service to SAFE Haven for Cats. As the winner of this pilot recognition program, CAHEC through a partnership with Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T) pledged a presenting sponsorship of SAFE Haven’s 2011 Tuxedo Cat Ball.
