Two New Co-working Spaces Arrive in Chapel Hill

The Town of Chapel Hill is announcing the opening of two new co-working locations, Carolina Co-working and Spaces, adding a total of 39,000 square feet of flexible work space for Chapel Hill residents, entrepreneurs and businesses.

Recently named one of the best places to live by MONEY Magazine, Chapel Hill is an ideal place to establish a new start-up or grow a business.

“We’re creating a local business culture that empowers entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes,” said Dwight Basset, economic development officer, Town of Chapel Hill. “These unique, flexible co-working spaces will enable us to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce, and equip workers with the tools they need to grow and succeed here in Chapel Hill.”

The new co-working spaces include:

• Carolina Co-working: Located in the basement of the Google office on Franklin Street, this location is accessible to restaurants, apartments and downtown favorites. It features a break room with free coffee, a shower and changing room, private call rooms, locking storage and laser printing. Private offices for two include motorized sit/stand desks and large mobile whiteboards.

• Spaces: Spaces features floor-to-ceiling views of Finley Golf Course in a convenient location directly on NC-54. The location is outfitted with ultra-fast, secure WiFi, coffee bar and concierge-level services. Additionally, business and networking events will be hosted on-site to further foster a community between members. The space has 323 co-working desks and two meeting rooms to help businesses connect and grow at their own pace.

The two new spaces join existing co-working spaces in Chapel Hill like Launch Chapel Hill, a business accelerator that provides co-working spaces to current and alumni companies, as well as anyone interested in joining the Chapel Hill startup community. Co-working spaces with additional health club benefits include Perch Co-working and Bluedoor Studio.
