Xtreme Park Adventures Launches New Kids Summer Camp and Expands with Three New Features

Bookmark and Share DURHAM, NC - July 16, 2018

Xtreme Park Adventures is launching a new summer camp for kids ages 8-14 at its 50-acre park. The full-day camp will host two weeklong sessions, July 9-13 and August 6-10, and introduces visitors to the park’s newest features, including a multi-level ropes course, gem mining and two challenging escape rooms. Additional camp activities showcase longstanding favorites at the park, such as zip lining, paintball, outdoor laser tag, airsoft, nature hikes, team building and more.

The new park features open to campers and the public include:

• A ropes course featuring 36 obstacles and three different difficulty levels, where up to 30 participants take on unique challenges and suspended obstacles through the forest canopy.

• Polished rocks, gems and fossils ready to be mined and identified by up to 25 kids at one time. Participants receive a brochure to learn about and note their finds, and get to take their new collection home.

• “The Bunker” escape room, where two to six people work to disarm nuclear missiles from launching within 90 minutes or less.

• Slightly less difficult, “The Jail” escape room challenges two to five people to steal the guard’s keys and getaway in under 30 minutes.

“Since I first opened the park in 2008, I have dreamed about ways to continue creating new opportunities for kids and families to play outside together,” said German Garcia-Fresco, owner of Xtreme Park Adventures. “Now more than ever, there is an increased focus on getting kids away from phones, video games and computers to interact with peers in-person and experience the outdoors, and we love providing a space for that to happen. These new parts of the park and the new summer camps are the perfect way to show kids just how much fun they can have here!”

The camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each weekday July 9-13 and August 6-10, and costs $399 per week. Campers receive a complimentary t-shirt, free lunch on Friday and all equipment needed for activities. For both participants and spectators, there is an onsite snack and beverage lounge with air conditioning.

Reservations are required and space is limited. To register for the summer camps, click here or call (919) 596-6100. For more information on the park, visit www.xtremeparkadventures.com.
