Yates, McLamb & Weyher Founders Honored for Continued Excellence

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 12, 2012) ─ Yates, McLamb & Weyher, L.L.P. (www.ymwlaw.com), a Raleigh, North Carolina-based litigation firm, announces today that founding partners Dan McLamb and Bonnie Weyher have received top honors from three rating organizations for excellence in the legal field. Since 1983, the two have been instrumental in growing YMW’s reputation for excellence in defense litigation.

For the third time, he has been named the top point earner in the North Carolina Super Lawyers ® annual ranking out of more than 25,000 North Carolina lawyers. He has ranked in the top 10 each year since 2007, and was top vote getter in 2008, 2010 and 2012. In addition, McLamb has been voted as one of North Carolina’s Legal Elite litigators in annual surveys done by Business North Carolina magazine each year since 2001.

McLamb focuses his practice on complex litigation, including business disputes and the representation of healthcare professionals and organizations throughout North Carolina. He regularly speaks to lawyers and health care providers on litigation, risk management and professionalism.

Weyher, has been named the 2012 “Lawyer of the Year” in Raleigh Insurance Law by Best Lawyers® and has been listed in Best Lawyers in America® since 2009. Additionally, she has been listed in the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers for a fourth consecutive year.

Weyher focuses her practice on insurance coverage and professional liability. She is a certified mediator, a member of the North Carolina Academy of Superior Court Mediators and a Fellow in the American Bar Foundation. Throughout her career, Weyher has served numerous roles in shaping the practice of law in N.C., including president of the North Carolina State Bar.
