YS Talent Expands, Joins Hire Scene Brand

Bookmark and Share Wilmington, NC - April 26, 2018

YS Talent, a veteran employment agency previously known as Youngblood Staffing in the greater Wilmington area, is joining forces with Hire Scene, the most robust shift-matching mobile app in the Southeast. The change leads a new era of innovation in the employment industry, maintaining trusted, experienced employment services while tapping into the gig economy to provide more user-friendly ways to connect job seekers and venues.

Between the combination of traditional methods and new technology, Wilmington workers will have more ways to instantly connect with the perfect job for their skills and lifestyle. Both companies are owned and managed by the Youngblood family. With the brand integration, Hire Scene continues to be a private, family-owned business with a focus on fostering relations in the Wilmington area.

“YS Talent has been a staple in the Wilmington community for more than 32 years, filling thousands of jobs annually and donating valuable time to non-profits,” said Billy King, director of membership services, Wilmington Business Development. “Hire Scene reflects both energy and innovation, a powerful combination that provides partner businesses and job seekers alike the tools they need to stay ahead in our evolving economy. Wilmington continues to see growth as an emerging tech hub, with a low unemployment rate and promising job growth potential in the next ten years, which is predicted to be more than 40 percent. It’s great that Hire Scene will be a part of this future, and continue growing and fostering relationships in the area.”

The Hire Scene app is designed to instantly link app users to immediately available, flexible employment opportunities in the hospitality industry. Initiatively ideated in Wilmington, Hire Scene is the only app developed in the area tapping into the rampant progression of the gig economy in the United States. The gig economy is now estimated to be about 34 percent of the workforce and expected to be 43 percent by the year 2020, according to Intuit.

By combining artificial intelligence algorithms, social media and mobile technologies, Hire Scene creates rapid connectivity between venues and app users and allows both parties to mutually rate their experience once jobs are completed. The job-matching technology and rating system is comparable to on-demand car services that have revolutionized individual travel options.

“We all know that technology has changed the way we live, so why shouldn’t it change the way we work?” said Mike Youngblood, founder and CEO, Hire Scene. “While the name is different, our focus remains the same: connecting you with the best jobs out there. Hire Scene’s technology is transforming the human resources industry, and we are better than ever at delivering the most effortless hiring process yet. We hope the Wilmington community will join us in celebrating our new name!”
