Smith Anderson Partner Geoff Krouse has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Duke Law Alumni Association.

The Duke Law Alumni Association Board of Directors consists of approximately 65 members and is the governing body of the Law Alumni Association. The Board works to communicate the interests of alumni and friends of the Law School to the Dean and staff, represents the Law School in the greater community, and helps build the institution through leadership.

“Duke Law is honored to welcome Geoff Krouse, B.A. ’93, J.D. ’97, to the Duke Law Alumni Association Board of Directors,” said Anna Parris Walker, J.D., director of alumni and constituent programs at Duke Law School. “A longtime volunteer with Duke and the Triangle community, Geoff is well known for his thoughtful leadership. His warmth, innovation and follow-through will be true assets to the board.”

Krouse is a partner in Smith Anderson’s Corporate group and has experience advising public and private companies, investment banks and private equity firms on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization transactions, public offerings and private placements of securities, as well as other corporate and compliance matters. Krouse serves as co-chair of the firm’s Recruiting and Diversity Committees.
