Smith Anderson Partner Kirk Warner has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA). Warner will serve a three-year term and joins the ranks of several Smith Anderson lawyers who have proudly served on NCADA’s board.

According to NCADA’s mission statement, “The North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys brings together civil trial attorneys to promote the administration of justice, the exchange of information, ideas, and litigation techniques, and to strengthen the practice, improve the skills, and enhance the knowledge of lawyers defending individuals and businesses in North Carolina.” Some responsibilities as a member of the NCADA Board of Directors include membership recruitment, contributing to the Association’s e-newsletter, assisting with fundraising, including sponsorships, and other initiatives as identified.

Warner is the leader of Smith Anderson’s Products Liability practice group and is a senior litigator in the firm’s Commercial Litigation team, with trial experience spanning many litigation areas. He thrives on complex and challenging bet-the-company litigation and issues. Warner represents a variety of government contractors with issues involving overseas war operations and contracts and has extensive experience in advising clients involved in government interagency and contingency operations contractor issues.
